Adoration
Isaiah 40:28-31; “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.”
The world that we live in is slowly opening back up following the COVID 19 pandemic. The leaders in this world are telling us that we are returning to ‘normal’. I live in Normal and from my vantage point this is not ‘normal’. Our worldly ‘normal’ was taken away from us in March, but as Isaiah wrote, if we had our ‘Hope’ in the Lord then nothing had really changed. HE is in control. Did you not know? Have you not heard? HE is in control for eternity.
A time of Adoration to our Triune God.
· Please take time to sit quietly and gaze at His creation and what is taking place around you; and feel His presence in your life.
· Think about the provisions, protection, hope, and love that surround you because of His unfailing love for you.
· Try to grasp the immense work that our Creator is doing in the lives of each Haitian child who attended a Christian school this past year.
Confession
James 5:16; “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
We were born, sinful and unclean, through no fault of our own, but because of the sins of our parents, grandparents…Adam and Eve.
God sent His only Son to die for our sins. Jesus did everything right while He was here on this earth. He loves you with a love that cannot be measured. He gave to the world when no thanks were returned to Him. He healed when there was no hope, and He died without complaint. Jesus did nothing wrong and everything right; all this for you. He lived for you and died for you. Our sins nailed Him to the cross on Calvary and kept Him there until His life on earth had ended.
· A time of personal confession.
Our sins are placed at the base of the Calvary cross...His cross, and we give thanks that the times we have fallen short in the eyes of our Heavenly Father have been washed clean and we have been forgiven through the Blood of our Risen Savior Jesus Christ.
Thanksgiving
Haiti is into the leaning-edge of the pandemic now and if that terrible challenge were not enough; it is hurricane season as well. The children who attend Christian schools with a feeding program have Hope and are thankful that God, our God, is watching over them every day.
Psalm 20:4; “May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.”
Heavenly Father, we come to You now with hearts, minds and words filled with Thanksgiving.”
We give thanks for our Creator, Redeemer, and Holy Spirit.
We give thanks for over 30,000 children who received a daily meal form Trinity HOPE this past year.
As we give of our first fruits may we also give a portion of our best to His children in Haiti who need the assistance we can provide because of You.
We give You thanks for placing Your healing hand upon Your children here in the US, in Haiti, and around this world.
Supplications
Lamentations 3:21-26; “Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”
The words, “The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him,” is such a comforting reassurance. Our Triune God is in control of the Universe and listens to our voices and responds to us through His Word…again and again. We seek His Wisdom and wait patiently for His response.
Luke 11:11-13; “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
You have most likely been earnestly praying for many years and know, without a doubt, that our God answers your prayers. I can put my finger on the time in my life when prayer became an important part in life. During confirmation instructions some 55 years ago, Pastor LW Heidemann told us why God wants to hear our prayers, that He listens to our prayers and He answers our prayers and it’s not always going to be “you betcha”. Many times, He has had me wait and for some requests; I am still waiting patiently, because I haven’t felt the rushing of the wind with the door closing just yet. We continue to pray for our country and for Haiti.
Heavenly Father, we bring our supplications before You;
· Heavenly Father, please continue to lead and bless Trinity HOPE with Your loving hand; may our donor base grow this summer.
· Lord of the Harvest, please bless the efforts of the Haitian farmers, may they be shielded from the pandemic around them and may their gardens and homes be protected from tropical storms this summer.
· Heavenly Father, please bring lasting peace to our country and end racism. Please bring an end to devil worship in Haiti and usher in new Godly leaders into their country.
· Lord, keep watch over the children, their parents, teachers, principals, pastors and feeding program directors living in Haiti during this pandemic.
Lord God, bless Your Word wherever it is proclaimed. Make it a Word of power and peace to convert those not yet Your own and to confirm those who have come to saving faith. May Your Word pass from the ear to the heart, from the heart to the lip and from the lip to the life that, as You have promised, Your Word may achieve the purpose for which You sent it; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
2 Corinthians 13:11-14; “Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints send their greetings. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
May God go before you to guide you; may His arms be beneath you to support you, around you to protect you and above you to bless you. And may the blessings of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit be with you always dear sister and brother in Christ,
