“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” 1 Corinthians 13:11-12
Are you having difficulty planning for the immediate future or even tomorrow? On this coming Monday, I was planning to have surgery to remove a tumor from my pituitary gland, as shown in the attached photo. I was planning to write you today that I would be ceasing these messages for at least three weeks, but now, with the COVID 19 around us; plans changed.
Much has changed in the past few weeks and will probably change more today and tomorrow; God’s knows what is happening, He is in control. Right now, our understanding is limited; it is very finite. God’s wisdom, however, is incredibly infinite and great. The above verses remind us that here, we know little and when we reach Heaven, we will know fully what God’s plan for us was through all of this. Stay in His Word. When you begin to wash your hands, start saying the Lord’s Prayer and don’t washing your hands until you have finished the prayer. He would love to hear from you.
Dear Heavenly Father, you have called your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
May God be with you…Jay
