“But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.” Galatians 4:4-5
How much planning went into your Christmas shopping last year? Did you give much thought when picking out a special gift for a family member? How important was it for you to get that ‘special gift’ for your child and be blessed to see them light up as they removed the wrapping paper to reveal a gift that brought about a huge smile and loud “WOW”!
Consider the gift that our Heavenly Father sent us. It only needed to be given once as it keeps on giving through the ages.
Our Heavenly Father waited until history reached the proper moment in time and then sent Jesus. The timing was perfect; the Roman rule, Jewish ordination, passable roads, freedom, a degree of safety and a common trading language. He sent his Son to be a woman's son. From Heaven He send His Son to earth to be the Savior of the world. He did it so all of the inhabitants of His world could be called His children. He gave the perfect gift of all time; for all time. Thank you for sharing your gift of support for these children attending Christian schools in Haiti; enabling and preparing them to share the Gift of salvation with those still living in bondage to the vodou priests of Haiti.
Dear Heavenly Father, you have called your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
May God be with you…Jay
