About Trinity/HOPE

"For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink.  Assuredly, I say to you, insomuch as you did it to one of the lease of these my  brethren, you did it to me."

- Matthew 25:35,40

School Year 1998 2005 /

2006

(projected)

2007 / 2008

Schools Fed 1 36 53
People Fed Daily 42 4,300 8,051
Meals per Month 1,012 81,700 152,969

*  90% of the children have no breakfast before coming to school

*  Only 20% of the children have enough to eat at home each night

*  50% of the children will not have food at home in a 24-hour period

*  Trinity/HOPE feeds a noon meal of rice and beans to every child in the schools we serve

*  100% of the children are taught about the life and love of Jesus

In spite of a tremendous annual inflation rate in Haiti, Trinity/Hope, through buying and operating efficiencies, has often been able to reduce the cost of its meals from year to year.  However, due to recent world wide shortages and food prices increases (rice alone increased 53% during the last school year), the cost of a meal for the coming school year is expected to be approximately $.29.
